A high promontory of white stone. Black sky, black sea below, and two semicircles of pale flame bracketing the place where you land. It is where the Pattern puts anyone it cannot deliver any closer.

Ghyre grew up around a way-exchange the way a town grows up around a river crossing. Guides, brokers, translators, moneychangers, and the inns where travellers between Shadows sleep badly.

Beautiful, forested, and owned. Sceld is a hunting preserve. Its people are permitted to live there and to serve when a Chaos lord comes to hunt. They are not permitted to hunt.
